Event Branding & Visual Systems

A rainforest most donors will never visit. One night to make them feel they had.

Junglekeepers protects one of the last untouched stretches of the Amazon. The work is real, urgent, and largely invisible to the people who fund it. Make It Happen Management led creative direction, strategic planning, and full production for Junglekeepers’ first founding gala at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City. W.Bradford was brought in to lead graphic and digital visual design across the event’s touchpoints, with our team on-site to see it through.

Industry

Nonprofit / Environmental Conservation

Scope

Event branding. Graphic and digital visual design. On-site production support.

Focus

Donor engagement. Mission clarity. Brand consistency across every touchpoint.

The Cause

Twenty percent of the world’s oxygen. A river of life with a closing window.

Junglekeepers protects Peru’s Las Piedras River corridor, one of the most biodiverse places on Earth and home to threatened wildlife and more than 30 Indigenous communities.

As illegal logging, mining, and road expansion accelerate, local and Indigenous rangers patrol and protect the land. In 2024, protected acreage more than doubled to 107,000 acres, advancing toward a 300,000-acre goal. The gala existed to make that urgent, on-the-ground work tangible to donors thousands of miles away.

WHAT WE DID

  • 107,000+ acres currently protected, more than double the prior year
  • 300,000 acres: the long-term corridor goal
  • 480+ bird species and 19+ IUCN-listed threatened species in the region
  • Roughly 20% of the world’s oxygen produced by the Amazon rainforest
The Assignment

Make a Distant Cause Feel Present

Make It Happen Management was tasked with turning a formal performance space into a founding gala worthy of the organization’s first major New York moment. No prior event model, a fixed date, and zero margin for error. Our assignment inside their vision: give the evening a visual identity equal to the cause.

WHAT WE DID

  • Partnered under MIHM’s creative direction and event strategy
  • Scoped the visual system across the gala’s donor-facing touchpoints
  • Aligned every design decision to the organization’s field-driven identity
The Challenge

The rainforest cannot attend its own fundraiser.

The distance between a seat at Jazz at Lincoln Center and a ranger station on the Las Piedras is the whole problem. Every graphic in the room had to close that gap without turning the cause into decor.

WHAT WE DID

  • Translated conservation urgency into a visual language donors could feel
  • Balanced the elegance the evening required with the honesty the mission demanded
  • Built consistency across print, digital, and environmental formats
Strategy

Let the forest set the palette. Let the evidence set the tone.

The system drew directly from the corridor itself, and treated the organization’s field data as a design element, not a footnote. The room MIHM built told the story; our graphics made sure it read the same at every distance.

WHAT WE DID

  • Anchored the visual system in the organization’s existing brand
  • Carried mission evidence through the donor journey
  • Designed for legibility across a live, low-light event environment
Creative Direction

Restraint, in service of the room.

Typography built to read as conservation science, not gala decor. Every choice was made to support the room MIHM built, not pull focus from it.

WHAT WE DID

  • Directed visual tone to match the organization’s field-driven, evidence-based identity
  • Sourced and treated photography to reflect the real Las Piedras corridor
  • Held every asset to a standard of restraint befitting the cause
Identity & Activation

One visual system, on-site, in real time.

Design only holds up if it survives contact with a live room. Our team was present throughout the event, working directly alongside Make It Happen Management’s production crew to make sure every graphic and digital touchpoint landed exactly as intended.

WHAT WE DID

  • Produced graphic and digital assets across the gala’s donor-facing touchpoints
  • Provided on-site support throughout the event to safeguard execution
  • Coordinated in real time with MIHM’s production team through event day
Impact

A founding gala built to be remembered, and repeated.

Stronger Donor Connection.
Elevated Visual Identity.
New Standard Set.
SPARK. SHAPE. SCALE
